John Monnett

John is a multi-thousand hour private pilot with glider, float plane and Sub Sonex jet ratings and an A&P Mechanic. He has many designs to his credit including the Sonerai sport aircraft series, Monerai sailplane , Moni motorglider, Monex racer, as well as, Sonex, Waiex, Xenos, Sub Sonex and UAS aircraft. He has been in the homebuilt aircraft and restoration business for over 50 years. John was inducted into the EAA Homebuilder's Hall of Fame in 2001, Awarded EAA’s 2013 “Freedom of Flight” and Dr. August Raspit Memorial Award twice. His designs are on display in the Smithsonian and EAA Museums.
