Waco Adventure
This gallery features some of the highlights of a vacation Joe and Jeri Norris took in their Waco UPF-7, NC39748. They departed Oshkosh, Wisconsin, on June 18 bound for Creve Coeur airport in St. Louis, where the American Waco Club was holding its annual fly-in. From Creve Coeur, they headed east for Evansville, Indiana and then on to Mt. Vernon, Ohio, where the National Waco Club has holding its 50th annual reunion. They returned to Oshkosh on June 28, with 25 flying hours in the logbook and many happy memories of the trip. (When referring to the Waco Aircraft Company, “Waco” is pronounced “Wah-co”, like Taco, not “Way-co,” like the city in Texas.)
