Loyal Siegel (05/22/1926 - 11/17/2013)

Loyal M. Siegel, age 87, of Green Bay, Wisconsin died on Sunday November 17, 2013 after a long battle with Alzheimer's. He was born May 22, 1926 to the late Elmer and Lydia (Krueger) Siegel. Loyal graduated from West High School in 1945 and proudly served in the US Navy during WWII and the Korean War. On July 3, 1948 he married his high school sweetheart Shirley Basten. On July 3, 2013 Loyal and Shirley celebrated 65 years of marriage.
Loyal spent most of his working years in sales, retiring in 1986 from the L.M. Berry Co. (Yellow Pages) after 25 years in Sales Management. He was an avid DIY person and an avid aviation enthusiast. He started out as a model airplane builder and later became a private pilot. Loyal was an EAA member (EAA 12915) and member of local EAA Chapter 651. Loyal had the dream to build his own airplane and purchased everything needed to build his Zenith CH 200. Unfortunately, life threw him too many curve balls and he never was able to get the project started.
Loyal is survived by his wife, Shirley, two sons, Robert (Pamela) Siegel, Scott (Lori) Siegel, three grandchildren and one great grand-child.
