Congratulations to Our Oshkosh Winners!

Several Canadian aircraft were judged among the very best and received awards in the aircraft judging competition at AirVenture this year.

Joseph Leslie, Abbotsford, BC, received a Small Plaque in the Classic Category (September 1945-1955), Custom Class B (81 to 150 HP) for his
1946 Fleet Canuck, CF-EAU.

Al Behuncik, Red Deer, AB, won two awards in the Rotorcraft competition for his Rotorway 162, C-FVPP. He received a Silver Lindy as well as an Innovation award.

Our great showing continued in the Warbirds category. Michael Potter/Tim Leslie of the Vintage Wings of Canada museum, Ottawa, ON, were multiple award winners. They received the Warbirds of America Preservation Award for their Goodyear FG-1D Corsair C-GVWC; received a Judges’ Choice award in the Fighter category for the Hawker "Hurricane" Mk.IV C-FTPM; and took home the Best Fighter award for the Curtiss P-40N Kittyhawk C-FVWC.

Canadian Warplane Heritage, Hamilton, ON, also received a Judges' Choice-Difficult Restoration award for the Westland Lysander C-9CWL.

Congratulations to all of them for representing our nation with pride!
