Open Position - Graphic Designer

Reports To: Director of Marketing

POSITION ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides visual communication support to the business units of EAA and produces visual solutions to the communication needs of the organization. Working as a team member of the Marketing department, this position is responsible for developing and executing corporate communication in the style and spirit of the brand using a mix of creative skills and commercial awareness through the following activities:

  • Meeting with account managers and clients to discuss their needs.
  • Interpreting the client's business needs.
  • Working with account managers and copywriters, help develop design briefs by gathering information and data to clarify communications objectives.
  • Thinking creatively to produce new ideas.
  • Producing accurate and high quality work.
  • Contributing ideas to the overall brief.
  • Keeping abreast of developments and trends in design and design software applications.
  • Working well in a team, with printers, copywriters, photographers, other designers, account managers, website designers and other specialists.
  • Working to tight deadlines in a production-driven environment.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

  • This position typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or related field; a combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant design experience in an in-house or agency environment.
  • Excellent graphic and oral communication skills.
  • Professional working knowledge of Adobe CS (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop).
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • The ability to think creatively and bring concepts to life through excellent graphic execution.
  • Knowledge of current trends and techniques in the visual arts.
