Volunteering Opportunities Available at EAA’s Kermit Weeks Hangar
EAA’s Kermit Weeks Hangar will be putting out a warm welcome to two EAA chapters that will be travelling to Oshkosh to volunteer during upcoming weekends.
Chapter 237 members are making the trip from Blaine, Minnesota, to bring volunteers on the weekends of Feb. 12 and Feb. 19, while Chapter 992 from Marshfield, Wisconsin, is driving to Oshkosh March 5 to help out at the hangar for the day.
These are great opportunities for our chapter members to drive or fly to Oshkosh and spend the weekend with our aircraft maintenance staff at the hangar, where they work, mingle, and share their common interests in aviation.
Kermit Weeks Hangar would love to have your chapter visit and help out. You will participate in the restoration and maintenance of a variety of aircraft in EAA’s collection.
Chapters typically arrive Friday evening, spend Saturday volunteering at the hangar, and visit the museum Sunday before heading back home. Winter and spring are great times to visit, so come out of this wintery weather and bring some chapter members to Oshkosh!
