Chapter 1132 Raises Funds for Local Charity

Briefing
EAA Chapter 1132 President Ed Grossheim presents $500 in proceeds from the Palmetto Aeroplane Classic & Cessna 120/140 Association Fly-In to Sharon Johnson, director of the Walter M. Crowe Animal Shelter.

November 15, 2011 – One way you can raise positive awareness for your chapter is to raise money for a local charity.

Recently, EAA Chapter 1132 (Camden, South Carolina) hosted its annual Palmetto Aeroplane Classic & Cessna 120/140 Association Fly-In at Woodward Field. All proceeds from food, beverages, and a 50/50 raffle benefited the Walter M. Crowe Animal Shelter.

The day featured Young Eagles flights and music, plus many warbirds, homebuilts, vintage, and contemporary aircraft were judged for awards. Acclaimed aviation author Robert F. DeBurgh also was on hand autographing copies of his books.

Through this great event, $500 was raised to help our four-legged friends!
