Limited Openings Remain for EAA Air Academy Young Eagles, Basic Sessions
February 7, 2012 - Does your chapter have young people with a budding interest in aviation? Then the EAA Air Academy is for them! Unforgettable aviation memories and new friends await students ages 12-15 this summer at the EAA Air Academy, a series of week-long camps designed to introduce young people to the aviation world.
Participants stay at the EAA Air Academy Lodge in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, while completely immersed in aviation through a series of activities. Aviation instructors with more than 200 years of combined teaching experience help kids explore the world of flight through aviation studies, hands-on demonstrations, flight simulation, and many more exciting activities.
There are limited openings for the EAA Air Academy Young Eagles Camps (ages 12-13) and Basic Air Academy sessions (ages 14-15):
EAA Young Eagles Camp
- Session 1: July 5-9, 2012 ($690)
- Session 2: July 11-15, 2012 ($690)
- Session 3: August 13-17, 2012 ($690)
EAA Basic Air Academy Camp
- Session 1: June 18-23, 2012 ($920)
- Session 2: June 25-30, 2012 ($920)
- Session 3: August 6-11, 2012 ($920)
All camps and academies include instruction, materials, meals, and lodging at the EAA Air Academy Lodge. Transportation to and from Oshkosh is the responsibility of the participant. Scholarships are also available.

Due to its extreme popularity, both EAA Advanced Air Academy summer sessions for youth ages 16-18 are full. Future 2012 applications are being placed on a waiting list for either Advanced Air Academy session.
