EAA's B-17 Aluminum Overcast Kicks Off 2012 Tour in April

March 20, 2012 - EAA's World War II-era B-17 Flying Fortress, Aluminum Overcast, returns to the air this spring for our 2012 tour.
The spring leg kicks off in Torrance, California on April 20 and includes eight West Coast stops - many hosted by EAA chapters - through early June. The tour will continue through the rest of the country this summer and fall (dates and locations to be announced), including a stop at "home" for EAA AirVenture 2012 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
Since 1994, EAA has toured its B-17 Aluminum Overcast across the country offering thousands of people the opportunity to relive World War II history in one of about a dozen remaining airworthy B-17s in the world.
