Promote Your International Learn to Fly Day Event to Local Media
Free Brochures Available!
Are you looking for a way to supplement your International Learn to Fly Day event? Gleim Publications is, once again, generously offering free of charge its Learn to Fly, Become a Pilot brochure to EAA chapters, FBOs, and others hosting International Learn to Fly Day events. For years, Gleim has provided these brochures to EAA chapters for Young Eagles events, receiving great responses from all involved.
This publication provides a basic overview of flying an aircraft as well as the steps to be taken in becoming a pilot.
Those who are hosting International Learn to Fly Day events and are interested in ordering the Gleim Booklets can e-mail Nathan McLaughlin, Gleim Publications aviation training consultant, at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please provide your name, mailing address, phone number, and quantity requested.
May 1, 2012 - More and more local International Learn to Fly Day events are being added every week as on Saturday, May 21, EAA chapters and aviation organizations will be sharing the spirit of aviation with friends and community.
Once you finalize your chapter's event and activities, be sure to spread the word to your local media - newspapers (both daily and community), radio stations, television stations, and even online publications dedicated to your community.
Many media outlets publish ways to submit press releases to them through a "Contact Us" page on their websites. If you'd like, utilize this press release template by customizing it for your event, then submitting your release to each outlet.
While promotion and listings in news outlets will create a "buzz" in advance, also invite media to your event. Coverage from your event could lead to increased interest in your chapter's activities and next year's International Learn to Fly Day.
And be sure to submit your event to the online calendar!
