Your Input Keeps Chapter Insurance Guide Evolving
May 29, 2012 - Events are a great way to strengthen your chapter and introduce aviation to your community. These events can include, but are not limited to, chapter meetings, pancake breakfasts, airport awareness days, and Young Eagles rallies.
The Chapter Insurance Guide profiled in the May 15 ChapterGram is designed to give you an overview of approved and prohibited activities that can take place at an event under the Chapter Insurance Plan. However, the list is constantly evolving as members are always coming up with new and creative ways to jumpstart and fuel passion in aviation.
If your chapter has come up with an idea for a fun new activity at your next event, please check with EAA's risk management department or the chapter office during your planning process to ensure that it falls within the scope of the Chapter Insurance Plan. Getting in touch with EAA to discuss your idea that does not appear in the Chapter Insurance Guide creates an opportunity for us to expand the approved activities list or caution chapters about something that may not be covered.
As you fill out your online request for insurance for your next chapter event, keep in mind that the chapter office (920-426-4876, firstname.lastname@example.org) and risk management department (920-426-6101, email@example.com) are always available to help!
