Share AirVenture Arrival Videos With Your Chapter
June 12, 2012 - Many of you and your chapter members will soon be flying to Oshkosh for AirVenture. A new online resource is now available you, whether you've been flying in for 20 years or are a first-timer.
EAA, in conjunction with the FAA, has produced a set of new videos that can assist you in your preparations to fly into Wittman Regional Airport. The videos show "real world" examples of the VFR Fisk arrival, including approach routes to both major Oshkosh runways, a go-around, and a VFR departure.
Take advantage of this new resource by sharing these videos with your chapter members at your next chapter meeting or host a meeting just for those members flying into AirVenture.
Another pilot resource for flying into Oshkosh is a free EAA webinar scheduled for Thursday, June 21. "Flying Into AirVenture" features Fred Stadler, a volunteer pilot at EAA's Pioneer Airport in Oshkosh who helped produce the videos, describing the Oshkosh VFR arrival procedures in detail. There will also be a question and answer period. Register for the webinar
