Chapter Renewals: January 15 Deadline
Each year, chapters are required to submit renewal information to keep the chapter in good standing with EAA and to renew the general liability insurance of the chapter. The deadline for 2013's information was January 15. Why is this so important?
The information you provide is used to update your chapter record in the EAA database, which feeds the chapter directory so that new EAA members have the most current contact information for your chapter. It also updates your chapter record so your new officers receive updates about pending deadlines, new support services, upcoming events, and more. Finally, it gives us the right chapter member to contact should we receive inquiries about chapter needs in your area. These potentially are new members for your chapter, and we want to provide the easiest path for them to find you.
It goes without saying that keeping the general liability insurance for your chapter current is a must. Without current insurance, your chapter is not able to hold events and activities and enjoy all the fun things about belonging to a chapter. Participation in the insurance program is required for all chapters in the United States and Canada.
The EAA chapter office is pleased to have received many of the renewal packets, but we are still waiting for some chapters to submit their information. The original packets were sent to the 2012 chapter presidents we have on file. If your chapter hasn't received the packet, or if your president is out of town, you can find the forms on the web. Please submit the information as soon as possible. Once we receive the information, we will follow up with your chapter should there be any questions.
