New Home for Chapters and Young Eagles

The heart of EAA is our chapters and Young Eagles programs. They bring EAA home for members in their local communities, allowing them to experience aviation with their friends, builders, pilots, and fellow enthusiasts each month. EAA AirVenture Oshkosh this year will bring an exciting change of location for the home of the chapters, Young Eagles and Eagle Flights programs during AirVenture week. A new pavilion will be located off of Celebration Way and Knapp Street, directly across from the main EAA Welcome Center, to give better visibility for everyone attending.

With this new pavilion, we will be able to hold forums throughout the week in the forum area set up within the tent. Designated theme days have been planned to incorporate special discussions around the theme day subject. Start making notes now, and watch for further details in the upcoming weeks. The theme days are:

Monday, July 29

Young Eagles

Tuesday, July 30

Eagle Flights

Wednesday, July 31

Thursday, August 1

Air Academy

Friday, August 2

Variety Day

There will also be a hospitality area for the chapter and Young Eagle volunteers to enjoy a few minutes out of the sun with a cup of water, to take a break from all the activity, and to plan the next item on their itinerary. Special drawings will be held each day for chapter banners and headsets for your chapter. So stop by to register each day.

EAA wants to share the awesome things that chapters are doing and what extraordinary experiences both the Young Eagle and Eagle Flights are making happen to grow aviation. This new pavilion will give better visibility to our chapter, Young Eagles, and Eagle Flights programs as well as a more centralized location for program participants to enjoy.
