EAA's Exhibitor Event Alcohol Policy
Alcoholic beverages and intoxicants - Exhibitor shall not use or bring to the AirVenture grounds any alcoholic beverages or any other intoxicants. There are situations where an exhibitor/sponsor may wish to hold a private function that includes alcoholic beverages after hours within its exhibit space or at another designated location, or where an aircraft manufacturer may wish to provide a hospitality event for its arriving aircraft owners. With written approval from EAA, permission will be granted based on the following requirements:
  • Insurance - In order to appropriately protect all, the exhibitor/sponsor must provide a valid certificate of insurance, with their written request, evidencing Commercial General Liability and Host Liquor Liability with limits not less than $1,000,000, which includes Experimental Aircraft Association, Inc., as an additional insured.
  • EAA reserves the right to check for proof of I.D., no one under the age of 21 will be allowed to consume alcoholic beverages for any reason.
  • Appropriately licensed and approved caterer must be utilized for any food and alcoholic beverage service. In addition, GES Exposition Services (800-475-2098) & Karl's Event Services (414-831-7025) must be used for any rentals for the party.
  • Alcoholic beverages may be restricted to wine, beer and select liquors only, due to state regulations and jurisdictional issues. This is due to AirVenture grounds being located within multiple townships and the City of Oshkosh.
  • All distribution of alcohol must be distributed by a licensed bartender to the exhibitor/sponsor's invited guests; no retail sales will be permitted.
  • Functions must be by invitation only with exhibit space or other designated location adequate to contain guests.
  • Set start and end times must be established and adhered to. Alcoholic beverage service may not begin before 5:00 P.M.
  • EAA reserves the right to monitor the function, and at any time discontinue alcoholic beverage service should it be warranted in EAA's sole judgment.
  • EAA recognizes and supports the desire of aircraft manufactures to host welcoming functions for their aircraft owners. For example, North 40 - Mass Arrival, Corporately Sponsored, Welcoming Functions. These events must follow the same requirements as listed above except that guests are not required to be contained to their corporate sponsor's exhibit space. These events will be held in designated areas within the North 40, in the parking area of the specific Mass Arrival aircraft. The consumption of alcoholic beverage may only take place within this area. EAA security personnel will be present during the function.
