AirVenture 2013 in Review
  • Safe-AirVenture saw no major accidents or incidents.
  • 821 exhibitors-Record setting. This is the highest number of exhibitors in AirVenture history.
  • 500,000+ attendees-roughly the same number of attendees as the 2012 AirVenture.
  • 10,000+ aircraft arriving at Whitman Regional Airport.
  • 2,335 showplanes - including 867 homebuilt aircraft, 858 vintage airplanes, 337 warbirds, 130 ultralights, 92 seaplanes, 27 aerobatic aircraft and 24 miscellaneous showplanes.
  • 2,115 registered International visitors from 64 nations, with Canada (562 visitors), Australia (257), and South Africa (187) the top three nations.
  • 914 registered media on site.
  • 15,000 people attended the premiere of Disney Planes movie at the EAA Ford Fly-In theater.
  • $2.6 Million+ is raised at the annual Gathering of Eagles dinner.
  • 1,000+ daily average visitors in the new College Park tent presented by American Airlines, with more than 1,000 attending the first annual EAA Job Fair and 300+ attending the second annual College Mixer presented by American Airlines and supported by Jeppesen and
  • Membership sales exceed AirVenture goal.
  • Aviators Club was sold out the week before AirVenture.
  • 800+ women photographed for the annual WomenVenture picture-the most on record. 450+ attend the first ever WomenVenture power lunch at Theater in the Woods. 2,200 bright pink tee shirts are handed out to women who work in aviation, are pilots or are aspiring to become pilots, an increase from 1,500 shirts handed out in 2012.
