When you say, “I’ve always wanted to fly,” we know what you’re talking about. That’s why we created EAA Eagle Flights. Now you can discover the fun, freedom, and accessibility of personal aviation through a hands-on introductory flight experience with an EAA member pilot in your area.

An Eagle Flight is your opportunity to experience all that aviation has to offer.

You’ll fly with a licensed, local EAA member pilot who will take you through the steps of flying your own airplane - from visually inspecting an airplane before the flight to taking off, landing, and navigating the sky.

During your flight, you’ll have the opportunity to follow along at the controls as your pilot shows you how to make gentle climbs, turns, and descents.

Eagle Flights are offered free of charge and are made possible through the generosity of local EAA members who are volunteering their time, aircraft, and fuel.

After your flight, he or she can answer any questions you may have about flying or the next steps you can take on your journey to becoming a pilot.

Participation is easy. Find a Flight for information on how to connect with an Eagle Flights pilot in your area.

If you have any additional questions about EAA Eagle Flights, feel free to e-mail EagleFlights@eaa.org or call Trevor Janz, EAA Manager of Chapters and Eagle Flights, at 920-426-5914.

Submit your event
If you’re planning an International Learn to Fly Day event, please submit it to the EAA Calendar of Events and tag it as “Learn to Fly Day.” It is important that all event organizers submit their event to the calendar, as it will act as a hub for all Learn to Fly Day activities and will be promoted as such to all prospective participants.
