AirVenture Advance Purchase Discount Ending AirVenture Ticket Online Discount Ends Sunday
If you haven't taken advantage of the extended advanced purchase discount for EAA AirVenture 2013 tickets, you have until this Sunday, June 30, to do so. Purchase your tickets by June 30 and save $5 off each weekly adult admission or $2 off each daily adult admission. If you plan on bringing your whole family to Oshkosh this year, this discount could really add up and save you some money.

After the discount ends on June 30, advance tickets may still be purchased online. But why wait?

Women Soar Limited Space in Women Soar You Soar Program
EAA's annual Women Soar You Soar program, scheduled August 1-4 during AirVenture, has limited openings for high school aged young women seeking to discover the possibilities of a rewarding career in aviation. This unique program focuses on career exploration, discovery, inspiration, and fun. Presenters are women from a variety of aviation and aerospace fields, serving as mentors to the young program participants. The deadline to register is fast approaching, so visit the Women Soar You Soar informational page and sign up today!

Ninety-Nines Flight-Training-to-Solo Scholarship Seeks Applicants
EAA and the Ninety-Nines are still accepting applications through Monday, July 1, for the Karen Johnson Solo Scholarship. This incredible opportunity pays flight training costs for a woman between the ages of 16 and 20 through her first solo flight. Young women are encouraged to apply for the scholarship, established in honor of Karen Johnson, Ventura County, California Ninety-Nines member who was killed in a plane crash in January 2013. AirVenture Runway 5k Discount Deadline is Sunday
Register no later than Sunday, June 30, for EAA's Runway 5K, scheduled for Saturday, August 3, during AirVenture, and take advantage of the registration discount! After June 30 pricing for the general public goes up from $35 to $43 for adults, and from $17 to $22 for students ages 6-18. For AirVenture attendees, the pricing goes from $25 to $28 for adults and $15 to $18 for students. Children under 5 receive free registration. Each participant receives free Saturday admission to AirVenture, including the Rockwell Collins Night Air Show, a special event T-shirt, and complimentary post-race snacks and water. ERAU to Host Seventh Annual Luncheon at AirVenture
Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University will host its seventh annual Lunch With Embry-Riddle during AirVenture on Friday, August 2, for those interested in pursuing careers in aviation and aerospace. Participants will dine with university administrators and students, and hear presentations on 21st-century aviation opportunities. Registration opens at 11:30 a.m. on August 2, followed by lunch from noon to 1:30 p.m. in the Founders' Wing inside EAA AirVenture Museum. Register and learn more >>

Aircraft Spruce Offers AirVenture Pre-order/Pickup Option
Aircraft Spruce & Specialty is offering a new means of delivering products to its consumers who plan to attend AirVenture Oshkosh 2013. Customers can preorder gear for pickup in Oshkosh during AirVenture with no freight or shipping costs. All orders must be placed by noon EDT on July 23 in order to be eligible for pickup at the Aircraft Spruce booth (Hangar A, 1022-1029) throughout the week.

Order via phone at 877-477-7823, fax at 800-329-3020, or online. Use the shipping option "Pickup at Oshkosh 2013, Hangar A, Booth 1022-1029." Due to limited space on the truck, this is a first-come, first-served availability, so please place order as soon as possible. Certain items, like large pieces of wood and metal, may not be available for the OSH pickup option.

GreenWing International GreenWing International to Manufacture Yuneec e340, Plans Oshkosh Visit
GreenWing International (GWI) has announced it will produce China-based Yuneec International electric aircraft, the eSpyder and e430. GWI plans to bring several examples of the eSpyder at Oshkosh for static display and flying demonstrations. Read more >>
