July 23, 2014 – EAA thanks all those who graciously participated in the annual AirVenture Online Auction, which concluded Monday with a grand revenue total of $19,991. These funds will be used to support EAA’s historic preservation and youth education programs that help further its mission of growing participation in aviation.
Top-performing items included a weeklong golf cart rental at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2014 for $4,550; a two-day golf cart rental at AirVenture 2014 for $2,325; and the print, “Avenging Strike,” by Robert Bailey and autographed by 18 of the Doolittle Raiders for $2,050.
Other items included a Founders Wing jacket that sold for $1,239; an EAA Lifetime membership that sold for $1,225; and flights in EAA’s Ford Tri-Motor and B-17 at AirVenture 2014 that each sold for $1,025.
