July 22, 2014 – Water is arguably the best thirst quencher on a hot summer day, especially during EAA AirVenture Oshkosh. But to ensure there’s no confusion when trying to locate a water fountain on the convention grounds, EAA would like to share a splashing tip: here in Wisconsin, we call water fountains “bubblers.” It’s a Sconnie thing.
So how can you locate a bubbler? Use the AirVenture app! There are a couple of ways once you download the app to your smartphone or tablet.
From the main menu, tap the map icon in the upper right corner. There’s a blue bar that reads “Map Menu” at the bottom of the map. Tap on the white arrow, which leads you to a list of several categories - one of which is water. Water icons will pop up automatically on the map, indicating where you can access a bubbler on the grounds.
Additionally, by clicking the three-line icon (also known as the hamburger menu) in the upper left corner, a drop-down menu will appear; tap the category that reads “Visitor Services,” then tap water and the option will quickly open to the map showing the water icons.
EAA wants to ensure your visit is safe and enjoyable, so make sure you download the AirVenture app to have access to information as simple - but essential - as where to find a bubbler. The EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2014 app is available for iOS, Android, and the Amazon Kindle Fire. Visit the app download page.
