Welcome Home Ceremony, approximately 6:30 p.m.
EAA, American Airlines, and Old Glory Honor Flight are proud to once again join forces to give Vietnam veterans the opportunity to visit the powerful memorials dedicated in their honor with a Yellow Ribbon Honor Flight departing from EAA AirVenture 2016.
On Friday morning, a special American Airlines aircraft will fly approximately 100 Vietnam veterans from the AirVenture grounds to Washington, D.C., for a day-long tour of memorials honoring their service and the sacrifices they made.
Be among the thousands saluting these heroes as they make their emotional return - a welcome home reception that many did not receive for their service and sacrifice - at the conclusion of Friday's air show.

Consideration for Vietnam veterans for an Old Glory Honor Flight closed on June 30, 2016.
Family members of the Honor Flight Veterans are welcome to attend and enjoy the memorial. After 5:00 pm on Friday, July 29 family members are offered free admission and free parking
Old Glory Honor Flight, Northeast Wisconsin's hub of the Honor Flight Network, recognizes veterans for sacrifices and achievements by providing a memorable, safe, and rewarding tour of Washington, D.C., memorials at no cost.
A maximum of 100 veterans will be chosen via random drawing. Event organizers expect to receive many more applications than can be accommodated for this flight. An Old Glory Honor Flight volunteer will contact only veterans whose applications are randomly selected in early July. Applications from Northeast Wisconsin veterans that are not drawn for this flight will be added to their regular waiting list for future flights.
