Greg Koontz Becomes a Full-line American Champion Aircraft Dealer

Greg Koontz

A great place to get aerobatic instruction is now a great place to buy an American Champion Aircraft. Greg Koontz has been involved with the Citabria/Super Decathlon family of aircraft ever since he soloed a Citabria in 1970. Greg worked for the Bellanca distributor at Aero Sport Inc. through the ’70s, running its aerobatic school with the popular aircraft and performing with Col. Moser’s Flying Circus in the Super Decathlon. Read more

In 1993 Greg started his own aerobatic school, which is now the very popular Greg Koontz Aerobatics at Sky Country Lodge located on a private strip in Alabama. The lodge is a bed and breakfast where Greg administers his unique brand of personal aerobatic instruction to his students who stay there.

Greg has been sponsored by American Champion Aircraft since 2003 and has been so successful in promoting the Super Decathlon in air shows across the United States and Central America that he has been asked by the sponsor to take on a full-line dealership.

“I have specialized in these great aircraft all my flying life,” Greg says. “I can now use my knowledge of these aircraft to focus on helping my aerobatic customers get into the right aircraft for them. To ensure a good start for everyone, I am offering my aerobatic or tailwheel training packages free to those who order a new ACA product with Greg Koontz Aerobatics.”
