New C-Plan Offers Canadian EAA Members Extensive Benefits, Value of EAA Aircraft Insurance Plan

 EAA AVIATION CENTER, OSHKOSH, Wis. — (Dec. 9, 2010) — Canadian EAA members can now enjoy affordable, extensive liability and aircraft hull coverage through C-PLAN, a new offering within the EAA Aircraft Insurance Plan.

EAA members in Canada will benefit from expanded coverage on owned, borrowed, or rented aircraft at a competitive rate from EAA, a trusted leader in the aviation community. Coverage is available for aircraft used for personal or business purposes, aircraft licensed to fly in the certified production amateur-built category, and also ultralight and kitplane aircraft.

Underwritten by Global Aerospace, Canada’s largest, most-trusted aviation insurer, and administered by Nacora Insurance Brokers Ltd., C-PLAN provides:

  • Liability-only coverage for pilots with optional non-owned hull coverage
  • Liability and hull coverage for specified aircraft

            Coverage enhancements for owned aircraft have been designed exclusively for EAA members, including:

  • Medical Expenses ($10,000 CAD)
  • Search and Rescue ($25,000 CAD)
  • Emergency Expenses ($5,000 CAD)
  • Headset and Handheld Avionics ($1,500 CAD)
  • Personal Property ($5,000 CAD)
  • Hangar and Contents ($50,000 CAD)
  • Premises Liability Extension
  • Work In Progress (WIP) available upon request
