Learn RV Assembly Skills At SportAir Workshop In Corona
November 22, 2006 — There are still several openings available for a specialty EAA SportAir Workshop, RV Assembly, scheduled for December 2-3 at Aircraft Spruce & Specialty in Corona, California. The two-day workshop, taught by expert Van's RV builder Dan Checkoway, provides essential skills and helpful tips to homebuilders so they can successfully begin and complete their RV project.
Classroom instruction and hands-on activities provide a foundation aimed at teaching proficiency in all of the basic sheet metal skills. For example, the Introduction to Sheet Metal Construction classroom discussion culminates with actual construction of an airfoil section patterned after the RV wing. This one exercise teaches the majority of skills necessary to build the aircraft.
The class also reviews some of the problems associated with building the RV and discusses weight and balance, rigging, painting, and other issues.
What past participants have said about the course: "I gained the confidence to tackle the RV"."The training is very comprehensive."."The tips will save me well more than the cost of the class."."Worth every penny. Workshop should be required for every RV builder."."Highly recommend course to anyone, but especially to first time builders"
If you are thinking about building a Van's RV aircraft, or have taken steps to order a kit, this workshop could be of immeasurable help to you. Space is limited to 16 students, so call today at 800-967-5746 to register, or visit www.sportair.com for additional information.
