'Golden West' Reschedules 2007 Fly-In

January 9 , 2007 — Organizers of the Golden West EAA Regional Fly-In at Yuba County Airport (MYV), Marysville, California, have rescheduled their 2007 event to June 29 through July 1 due to a scheduling conflict with another aviation-related event in the Sacramento area. Golden West, preparing for its ninth fly-in this year, was originally scheduled June 8-10, but elected to move the date when the California Capital Air Show scheduled its event for the same weekend.

"We opted to move it to later in June rather than earlier because the potential for wet weather is greater near the end of May and early June," said John Gibson, Golden West president. "We wanted to keep it in the month of June and as close to International Young Eagles Day (June 9) as we could."

Due to this late change, please note that the date for Golden West printed in the 2007 EAA World of Flight calendar is incorrect. For more information about the fly-in, visit the Golden West Fly-In Website.
