TSA Urges Vigilance During Holidays
December 27, 2007 — Although airport and aviation security is not foremost on many of our minds during this time of year, it's important to maintain such precautions as reminded by the Transportation Security Administration:
"During the holiday period, I want to remind you of the importance of continued vigilance on the part of the general aviation community," said Michal Morgan, general manager of TSA's Office of General Aviation Security. "TSA encourages general aviation aircraft and airport operators to review their security measures and those contained in the TSA Information Publication, the Airport Watch Program, and other industry best practice materials.
"These materials are available on the TSA website. We would also like to remind operators to report any unusual or suspicious activity to the General Aviation Hotline at (866) GA SECURE (866-427-3287)."
