Second EAA Chapter Leader Academy This Weekend

Chapter Leaders

January 10, 2008 — More than 30 representatives of EAA chapters from throughout the country are set to gather in Oshkosh this weekend for the second EAA Chapter Leaders Academy. Participants will engage in a variety of fun, fast-paced and fact-filled activities aimed at generating ideas and suggestions to help strengthen and sustain their local EAA chapters. The weekend events are patterned after the first highly successful academy held in September last year.

Participants will have many opportunities to interact with each other, as well as get to know the EAA staff members who provide support to their activities throughout the year. Group activities include an after hours tour of the AirVenture Museum, as well as a side of "Oshkosh" they've never been able to experience before.

"It's clear that these types of interactive programs foster increased participation in our chapters," said EAA's Bob Warner who facilitated the first event.

The weekend's activities begin at 5 p.m. on Friday, and conclude at noon on Sunday. EAA will provide lodging, food and workshop materials.

Additional chapter academy sessions are scheduled for April 18-20; September 19-21; and January 23-25, 2009. If you would like to sign up for an upcoming session, please contact Kaysie Oudenhoven at koudenhoven@eaa.org or call 920-426-6297. For questions, contact Ron Wagner at rwagner@eaa.org or 920-426-6122.
