Ford Flex Named One of the “Top Ten Best New Road Trip Vehicles”

According to editors of Kelley Blue Book’s kbb.com, the 2009 Ford Flex is one of the “Top Ten Best New Road Trip Vehicles.”

“The functionality, cargo capacity and interior space of the Ford Flex, coupled with its high feature set, make it a pretty ideal cross-country commuting vehicle,” said Micah Muzio, Road Test Editor for Kelley Blue Book’s kbb.com.

Ford Flex features that set it apart from the competition include its (available) multi-panel Vista Roof™. “The sunroof makes the vehicle seem even roomier,” said Muzio.

Another Flex feature that impressed kbb.com was a class-exclusive (available) integrated refrigerator between the second-row seats that can cool up to seven 12-ounce cans.

Rounding out its list of innovative features, Flex offers Ford SYNC™, a Sony premium audio system, an EasyFuel™ capless fuel filler, available ambient lighting, an available reverse camera system and available SIRIUS® Travel Link™.

Flex arrives in Ford showrooms this summer with a base Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) starting at $28,995 including destination and delivery.

kbb.com editors praised Flex’s fuel economy, roominess, unique features and options such as a multi-panel Vista Roof™ and built-in refrigerator.

Why Partner Recognition?

EAA 's Partner Recognition Program is a special savings opportunity developed exclusively for EAA members. It offers you the ability to purchase or lease eligible vehicles at EAA Member pricing. Vehicle prices are predetermined before you arrive at the dealership!

Who is eligible?

Individuals who have been EAA members for at least 30 consecutive days will be eligible for the Plan. Additionally, members of the EAA member's household are now eligible--that means any family member or friend who resides in the same household as the EAA member can participate as long as his or her valid driver's license proves household status.

What are the benefits of Partner Recognition?

You no longer need to negotiate the purchase price with your dealer! As an eligible Partner Recognition participant, you can purchase or lease from the Ford franchised dealer of your choice. In addition to competitive prices, you are also eligible for most public retail incentives at the time of purchase.

How do EAA members learn more about Partner Recognition?

Visit our web site at www.eaa.org/ford/ to gain valuable information about this program. On this web site, you can:

  • Identify latest vehicle incentives in their area
  • Browse your local dealership's online vehicle inventory and confirm X-Plan prices
  • Research product, financing and insurance information
  • Learn more about the rules and regulations of the X-Plan Vehicle Purchase Program
  • Generate a Personal Identification Number (PIN)

How do EAA members generate PINs?

Visit www.eaa.org/ford/ to generate PINs (you will need your EAA member log-in user name and password to access the site)

How many PINs can I generate?

Through the Partner Recognition X-Plan Program, eligible individuals can generate two personal PINs per year to purchase new vehicles.

Can I give my X-Plan PIN to a Dealer for one of their customers?

No, the Partner Recognition program was created to encourage EAA members to purchase Ford Motor Company products. It is not intended to help close a sale for a dealership.

Can a PIN be used for a purchase or lease?

Yes, either form of obtaining a vehicle is valid and you do not have to purchase or lease through Ford Credit.

How long is a PIN valid?

PINs remain active for 12 months from the date of issue. PINs are only good for the person for whom they were generated.
