May 29, 2009 — There’s some limited space available the EAA SportAir TIG Welding Workshop scheduled for next weekend, June 5-7 (Friday evening, Saturday, and Sunday) at the Alexander Technical Center in Griffin, Georgia. Expert Lincoln Electric instructors teach the basics of Tungsten Inert Gas welding using Lincoln’s state-of-the-art TIG welding equipment. “TIG welding is becoming the method of choice for homebuilt aircraft enthusiasts,” EAA SportAir Workshops Coordinator Mark Forss comments. “The TIG welding process is easy to master and you can achieve high quality repeatable results using the Lincoln welding machines.”

Attendees are assigned their own set of welding equipment, spending most of the workshop gaining hands-on experience welding mild steel, stainless, aluminum, and 4130 steel tubing. The course is offered at a discounted price of $359 for EAA members. In addition, as a special incentive, Lincoln offers discounts on welding equipment purchases to attendees of the course.  To register for this event visit the EAA SportAir Workshops website, or call 800- 967-5746.
