Learn TIG Welding with EAA SportAir Workshops
January 14, 2010 — The next EAA SportAir TIG Welding Workshop is scheduled for the weekend of February 12-14 (Friday evening, Saturday, and Sunday) at the Alexander Technical Center in Griffin, Georgia. Expert Lincoln Electric instructors teach the basics of Tungsten Inert Gas welding using Lincoln's state-of-the-art TIG welding equipment. "TIG welding is becoming the method of choice for homebuilt aircraft enthusiasts," EAA SportAir Workshops Coordinator Mark Forss comments. "The TIG welding process is easy to master and you can achieve high quality repeatable results using the Lincoln welding machines."
Attendees are assigned their own set of welding equipment, spending most of the workshop gaining hands-on experience welding mild steel, stainless, aluminum, and 4130 steel tubing.
