TFR Created for NFL Pro Bowl
January 28, 2010 — The NFL’s annual all star game, the Pro Bowl, takes place the week before the Super Bowl, and at the same location – Dolphin Stadium in Miami, Florida. That’s this Sunday, January 31, and the FAA will establish a three nautical mile temporary flight restriction (TFR) around the stadium, from the surface to 3,000 feet AGL, in effect from 6:30 pm until midnight. General aviation operations are prohibited within the TFR unless authorized by air traffic control. Pilots must receive a discrete transponder code and remain in two-way communications with ATC. Aircraft may not loiter in the airspace. Allowed operations include military, law enforcement, fire fighting, medevac aircraft, and those operations necessitated for safety or emergency reasons, For more information, click here.
