Sporty’s Fly-In/International Learn to Fly Day

May13, 2010 — This Saturday, May 15 is a big day at the Clermont County/Sporty’s Airport as the 6th Sporty’s Annual Fly-In combines with International Learn to Fly Day to create a grand celebration of aviation. “We’re challenging pilots to come to our fly-in and bring at least one friend who may be interested in flying,” said Sporty’s President Michael Wolf. “We’ll have a full complement of flight instructors on hand to brief potential pilots and give an on-the-spot introductory flight.”

The big drawing for Sporty’s Sweepstakes airplane, a 2010 Cessna Skycatcher, takes place at Noon. Other activities include exhibits from Cessna Aircraft, Aspen Avionics, Garmin, Bose, Lightspeed, SkyOx, L3, Sigtronics and others; FAA safety seminars hosted by Garmin, Bendix/King, Aspen Avionics, Air Mod and others; tours, and more. FLYING magazine’s Lane Wallace will hold a book signing for her recently published book, “Unforgettable: My Ten Best Flights.”

Sporty's representatives will be available to meet with attendees to discuss various products and services offered including flight training at Sporty’s Academy, the 2010 line of Cessna Single-Engine Aircraft, homes available at Sandy's Airpark at Sporty’s, Aviation Exploring, Cincinnati Avionics, and the University of Cincinnati Professional Pilot Program.

The event will be held rain or shine, 10 a.m.-3 p.m., and it’s all free - including lunch! Visit www.sportys.com/flyin for more information.
