Canada Post Shutdown Likely to Delay Magazine Deliveries
June 16, 2011 —The labor dispute between Canada Post and the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) has resulted in a suspension of operations, which will impact the delivery of mail from EAA to its members residing in Canada. Members should have received the June issue of EAA Sport Aviation magazine but perhaps not Vintage Airplane, Warbirds, and Sport Aerobatics. While those titles have been shipped to Canada Post for delivery, the arrival of that shipment indicates that very few Canadians will receive those magazines until the service interruption ends.
The good news is that our digital edition is always always available online. Our divisional magazines - Vintage Airplane, Warbirds, and Sport Aerobatics - are not currently published digitally, so these will all be delayed.
Although postal delivery of renewal notices and payments will be delayed, you can always renew your membership online, or call our Member Services team toll-free at 800-564-6322 (M-F 8 a.m.-6 p.m. CDT and Sat. 8 a.m.-4 p.m.) for payments and inquiries by phone.
We will produce and hold all membership cards - delivering them as soon as possible after the strike ends. If you should need proof of membership prior to that time, our Member Services team can e-mail or fax you a document showing your member number and current expiration date.
We appreciate your patience in this matter and hope for a swift resolution to the strike. We will strive to expedite future deliveries once the strike has been resolved.
Should you have additional questions, feel free to contact our Member Services team at 800-564-6322.
