Leadership Change at EAA
Poberezny retires as Chairman after decades of valued service; Hightower to assume duties

July 26, 2011 – Tom Poberezny and the EAA Board of Directors have announced that Poberezny is retiring as chairman of the association and AirVenture Oshkosh. Poberezny has led EAA since 1989 and has served as chairman of AirVenture Oshkosh for more than 30 years. Like his father, Paul, who founded EAA and led it before him, Tom has been a visible leader and a mentor to millions of flight enthusiasts. Rod Hightower, EAA president and CEO, will assume Poberezny’s responsibilities.
