EAA Chapter 1418 Appoints 18-Year-Old President

July 19, 2012 - Eighteen-year-old Lindsay Locke of Redway, California, who has been flying since she was 12 years old, received her private pilot certificate last October at 17 years old. After turning 18 in July and legally allowed to be a chapter officer Lindsay was named president of EAA Chapter 1418, she's the youngest chapter president in EAA's 59-year history.
In addition to her work with EAA Chapter 1418, Lindsay graduated from Siuslaw High School this year and is on her way in September to Oregon State University. While at OSU, Lindsay will study history with a Middle Eastern theme in pursuit of an International degree. She also plans to be a cadet in the United States Air Force ROTC program. She's is attending AirVenture this week.
EAA congratulates Lindsay for her hard work and dedication to the organization.
