Women in Aviation Conference Kicks Off in Nashville

March 14, 2013 - EAA joins the 24th annual Women in Aviation International Conference, which begins today at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center in Nashville, Tennessee. Look for EAA in the exhibit hall, Booth 716, where Nadia Farr, Kelly Nelson, Elissa Lines, and Rose Pelton will be representing the organization through Saturday.
In addition to promoting EAA and AirVenture in the exhibit hall, Lines, vice president of business development, will speak Friday at 1:45 p.m. on "Inspiring the Next Generation of Aviators." Nelson, managing editor for EAA publications, appears Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m. for her presentation, "What Is EAA?"
The annual WIA conference features a wide array of educational sessions on most every aspect of the aviation industry, with more than 113 companies exhibiting. Many of those companies have employment representatives on site as well. WAI also distributes more than $500,000 each year in scholarships.
EAAers attending the conference are encouraged to stop by the booth for a free pin and a chance to win a VIP package to AirVenture 2013.
