Brothers Memorial Dinner

EAA hosts
the 8th Annual Wright Brothers Memorial Banquet in the EAA AirVenture
Museum's Eagle Hangar on Friday, December 17. The dinner commemorates
the anniversary of man's first successful powered flight, and features
Joe Kittinger, Jr, the first and only man to parachute from 102,800
feet, as the keynote speaker. Kittinger still holds the record which was
set on August 16, 1960. Join us as he shares the story of his record
breaking jump and his other lifelong interests. Cocktails and a cash bar
will be open at 6 p.m. with dinner served at 7 p.m. Make your reservations

The EAA
AirVenture Museum has a special treat for kids on holiday break. Kids
Days features several different activities designed especially for the
museum's younger visitors. Activities include making paper airplanes,
scavenger hunts, and the famous "Houston We May Have an
Omelet." It's hands-on fun for the entire family. While you're at
the museum, check out the exciting KidVenture Gallery, nearly 200
airplanes on display, flight simulator, and special kid friendly movies.

Air Academy Dates Announced
Sign up now for EAA's annual aviation camp that explores the exciting
world of aviation for all experience levels.
EAA
Young Eagles Camp - Ages 12 and 13
Session 1: June 13-17; Session 2: July 12-16
Designed as an introduction to the wonderful world of aviation, this
program uses small group activities and close counselor relationships to
present the basics of flight in a science camp format that is a unique
combination of fun and discovery.
EAA
Basic Air Academy - Ages 14 and 15
Session 1: June 19-24; Session 2: June 26 - July 1; Session 3: July 5-10
It's the next exciting step through the world of aviation. Each
"hands-on" activity is developed for the intermediate student
during a classroom and media presentation, specialized laboratory
activities, and aviation-related demonstrations.
EAA
Advanced Air Academy - Ages 16, 17, and 18
Session 1: July 19 -27; Session 2: July 29 - August 6
This camp provides an atmosphere where mature students become totally
immersed in the world of flight. Ground instruction and introductory
recreation flight experiences highlight this action-packed camp. It
combines "in-the-air" and "on-the-ground" hands-on
activities. The EAA Advanced Air Academy also includes full
participation (access to forums, flightline, and all associated
activities) in EAA AirVenture Oshkosh - the world's premier aviation
event!
