The general aviation industry contributes more than $150 billion to the U.S. economy annually and supports 1.2 million jobs nationwide. GA is one of the few remaining domestic manufacturing industries that provides a positive trade surplus for the United States.

General aviation is a critical component of the nation's transportation infrastructure and has access to ten times as many airports as commercial airlines. It helps thousands of businesses of all sizes become more productive and efficient and provides local communities with much-needed tax revenue and jobs.

EAA embodies the spirit of aviation through the world's most engaged community of aviation enthusiasts. EAA's 170,000 members and 1,000 local chapters enjoy the fun and camaraderie of sharing their passion for flying, building and restoring recreational aircraft.
