Two Youths Impressed With Aviation

Precious Metal

Sharing the excitement of history and horsepower with a young person is a hard thing to beat. This year at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh that excitement was on full display all along the flightline. First-time AirVenture attendee Madeline Janz, 13, sent a photo of her favorite aircraft, the Corsair. Madeline’s proud dad, Trevor Janz, works in the EAA Business Development Department.

“It was an amazing experience for me to watch the old World War II fighters arrive,” Madeline Janz wrote. “It gave me a look on how it was back in the day. I loved it - it was so cool!”

AirVenture isn’t the only time we can share our love of military aviation and its history. Warbird Squadron 24 sponsored Katie Squire’s attendance at EAA Air Academy and inspired a career in aerospace engineering. See her thank-you letter below.
