Welcome to EAA Warbirds Briefing - the electronic newsletter for EAA’s Warbird community and enthusiasts.
Here you will find the latest on government affairs, operational safety, aircraft under restoration, and hopefully even news from your own warbirds squadron and region. You will also find links to audio, video and the growing warbird discussion on Oshkosh365. If you haven’t been exploring EAA’s social networking website please sign-up now!
The advantage of an e-mail-based newsletter is its flexibility and immediate nature. This newsletter is partially written by you. Please submit a note or pictures about your local goings-on. Take some time to write an article about your project; maybe you need help in finding that historic piece or part, or submit a report about what your local squadron has planned. Send your comments and submissions to Warbirds@EAA.org.
Meet Your Editor - Harold Cannon
Harold Cannon was born in rural Arkansas in 1956. Standing in the backyard watching crop dusters instilled an early and lifelong love of aviation. (Either that or organophosate poisoning, its up for grabs.) He has three children and four Warbirds, all of whom he loves dearly. He is a member of EAA and Tennessee Warbirds Squadron 1. Harold has attended Oshkosh 16 years in a row, the last ten in a Warbird of some type (T-6, T-34, L-39). His ability to step back briskly when asked to volunteer is impaired. When not hanging out at the airport, he practices Neurosurgery to pay the bills.
