NTSB Safety Road Show Coming to AirVenture

May 24, 2018 — The National Transportation Safety Board is offering aviators an inside look at its work and GA safety at Oshkosh this summer, as the board is bringing its “GA Safety Road Show” to AirVenture on Tuesday, July 24.

The session begins at 8:30 a.m. that day in EAA Forum Pavilion 6 and contains three separate segments to coincide with the daily forum schedule on the grounds. The event will include top safety issues seen during NTSB investigations. Attendees can attend just one or all three segments.

The NTSB has commended EAA for its work to reduce GA accidents, especially in the amateur-built aircraft community. The most recent FAA figures for the 12-month period ending last September showed a record-low total of fatal accidents involving homebuilt aircraft.
