Healthy Dining Options Increase in 2018

July 21, 2018 - Many of the more than 40 EAA AirVenture Oshkosh food outlets have added new items to their various menus this year to help accommodate those looking for healthy alternatives or to fulfill a dietary restriction.

The International Garden Café by Saz’s offers a variety of new healthy options, Subway has added wraps, and Tower Concessions located by A&W has expanded to include salads, wraps, fresh fruits, and fresh vegetables. In addition, Ultralight Concessions by Parker John’s BBQ features an entirely gluten-free menu this year.

Various other food vendors stock vegetarian and gluten-free options as well, and those are noted by new vegetarian and gluten-free icons on menus all throughout the grounds. AirVenture attendees can plan ahead to make healthy choices by using menus listed both on the AirVenture website and the AirVenture app.

In addition to vendor options, campers can shop at Red One Market locations for fresh ingredients necessary to make their own meals. Some locations on the grounds will also feature Pepsi’s new Bubly sparkling water as an additional healthy beverage option.

Changes and additions made for AirVenture 2018 are just part of EAA’s long-term effort to offer a variety of options including Wisconsin and Oshkosh favorites, healthy foods, and menu items that accommodate dietary restrictions.
