Warriors and Warplanes at Warbirds in Review

By Frederick A. Johnsen

July 21, 2018 - Warbirds in Review puts AirVenture attendees in close proximity to classic warplanes and warriors in a series of panel presentations with participants seated in front of the warbird under discussion. This popular feature takes place Monday-Saturday at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Warbird Alley.

This week, the panels will feature combat veterans, current warbird pilots and owners, and restorers who will take turns describing selected warbirds. Their stories range from humorous anecdotes to death-defying sagas of survival, with descriptions of the flying qualities and quirks of the various warbirds. The sessions typically wrap up with enough time for questions from the audience.
