July 22, 2019 - Oshkosh is excited to celebrate 50 years of being EAA AirVenture's home in 2019!

AirVenture has brought millions of visitors to Oshkosh from around the world over the years. It is a part of who Oshkosh is, and will forever be a part of our history. When one thinks "Oshkosh," they think of EAA and AirVenture.

Oshkosh is known as "Event City," so it's clear that the World's Greatest Aviation Celebration belongs right here. Our residents are proud to showcase Oshkosh as a welcoming place for aviators and aviation enthusiasts from near and far, and embrace the excitement that AirVenture brings every year. Our city is thankful for the tourism boost that this event brings, and is especially proud to share with visitors how wonderful Oshkosh is beyond the event grounds.

While you're here, be sure to check out some of the great amenities our city has to offer, such as our riverwalk along both shores of the historic Fox River, as well as the downtown area. Also, the Oshkosh Public Museum, Paine Art Center and Gardens, acres of parks (many located right on the shores of Lake Butte Des Mort, Lake Winnebago, and the Fox River), wide variety of restaurants, and great fishing. I hope that you can find the time to check them out, and fall in love with Oshkosh the same way our locals have.

Again, welcome to our community. We have a long, proud history and take pride in our exceptionally high quality of life. Oshkosh is a city that has long been known for its hospitality, and we are confident that you'll agree.

Happy AirVenture 2019!
