Seaplane Base Hosts Memorial Day Weekend Work Party

June 6, 2018 - Approximately 80 volunteers spent their Memorial Day weekend preparing the EAA Seaplane Base for EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2018. Volunteers began arriving Friday and stayed through Monday afternoon. Participants in the work party accomplished a variety of things, including lifting and relocating the first aid trailer, tool shed, and volunteers’ booth, landscaping and gardening, dock, mooring, and bridle inspections, boat maintenance, campground preparations, registration building cleaning, and skimming algae and trimming foliage around the shore of the base.
