EAA is dedicated to providing access and services to guests with disabilities in an effort to guarantee that every guest has a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable experience at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh™. ADA access is available to all AirVenture venues, including the EAA AirVenture Museum.
For more information regarding event access and services, please call (800) 564-6322 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org. Additional information is available on the EAA AirVenture Oshkosh map and event app available at www.EAA/app.
ADA accessible on-site parking is available, and is first come, first served. Your parking identification (DIS ID) permit will be required.
Located adjacent to the convention grounds, Camp Scholler has designated camping areas for guests with disabilities, as well as 24-hour generator needs. A limited number of sites with electric and water hookups are available to all event guests for an additional fee. Sites are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. At least one person in each camping unit must be an EAA member. Memberships are available at the Camp Scholler entrance.
Aircraft Parking and Camping
Please display a disabled sign along with the arrival sign (found in the EAA AirVenture Oshkosh NOTAM) upon your arrival so ground personnel can direct you to the appropriate area. Designated aircraft camping accommodations for guests with disabilities are available in the North 40 as well as the homebuilt camping area.
Every on-site shuttle route throughout the EAA grounds including Camp Scholler, convention grounds, and aircraft parking has at least one ADA accessible vehicle that accommodates various types of wheelchairs and electric conveyance vehicles (ECVs).
Single-seat personal electric conveyance vehicles, specifically designed for those with disabilities, are allowed on the convention site and can also be rented via Vista Mobility Inc (near the main gate).* For more information on rentals, contact Vista Mobility Inc. at (877) 588-4782 ext. 2 or (262) 677-2696. Also allowed are Other Personal Disability Mobility Devices, such as Segways, when required because of the individual’s mobility disability and when operated in a safe manner, consistent with 28 C.F.R. 36.311(b)(1). Some of the grounds may be difficult for electric conveyance vehicles and wheelchairs to navigate, as they are grass- or gravel-covered.
* If special accessible transportation is required, please stop at the bus park area near the Main Admission Gate or call (920) 230-7932.
Vista Mobility may be able to provide larger capacity single-seat personal electric conveyance vehicles if notified far enough in advance. Call Vista for information.
