1930 Kreider-Reisner KR-21B - N954V

The Kreider-Reisner KR-21-B was a more powerful version of the popular KR-21-A trainer. Designed to withstand the rigors of pilot training yet be responsive enough for owner operators and sports pilots, the KR-21-B was responsive to the experience of the pilot. It was easy handling for beginners, but able to perform acrobatic maneuvers for the experienced pilot. The Depression halted sales of the KR-21-B which otherwise might have succeeded like its predecessor. A total of five were built with two of these being converted KR-21-As. This is believed to be the sole survivor.

ATC 363 issued September 10, 1930. Manufactured by the Kreider-Reisner Aircraft Company Inc. of Hagerstown, Maryland. Fairchild took over Kreider-Reisner in 1929, and production of the KR aircraft continued, some continued to be badged as KR but some, like the KR-21-Bs, are believed to be badged as Fairchild. In 1931 all aircraft were badged as Fairchild. Only three KR-21-Bs were built, and two 21-As were converted.
