EAA B-25 Berlin Express and B-29 Doc making joint ‘History Restored Tour’ appearances in Florida and Louisiana

EAA AVIATION CENTER, OSHKOSH, Wisconsin — (February 7, 2022) —  The Experimental Aircraft Association’s B-25 Berlin Express and the B-29 Doc will join together for multiple History Restored Tour stops in Florida and Louisiana beginning on March 31 to kick off the 2022 tour seasons for both historic aircraft.

The two historic World War II-era aircraft will tour together in Tallahassee, Florida (March 31-April 3), at the Sun ‘n Fun Aerospace Expo in Lakeland, Florida (April 5-10), and Monroe, Louisiana (April 14-17). The joint History Restored Tour will include ground and cockpit tours for both warbirds, as well as B-25 and B-29 flight experiences at each location.

“The rare opportunity to see living aviation history is even more unforgettable when these two iconic aircraft appear together at these upcoming stops,” said Sean Elliott, EAA’s vice president of advocacy and safety, who leads the organization’s air operations team. “These joint appearances bring the history and heroism of World War II out of the books and videos to a personal experience and a tribute to people who defended freedom.”

“Bringing these two historic and iconic warbirds together to honor the legacy of those who designed, built, flew and maintained these aircraft will be a unique and one-of-a-kind event,” said Josh Wells, B-29 Doc Executive Director and General Manager. “We are excited to partner with the EAA team to continue our joint mission of honoring the Greatest Generation.”

Flight experience tickets are on sale now for both aircraft. EAA’s B-25 Berlin Express can be found at www.FlyTheB25.org, while B-29 Doc flight experience tickets can be purchased at www.b29doc.com/rides.
