OmegA Rocket – Countdown to Launch: A Sneak Peek at the New OmegA Rocket

What does it take to build a brand new rocket to launch payloads for National Security Missions? The OmegA rocket’s design leverages flight-proven technologies that have contributed to nearly 80 successful space launch missions. This rocket has extremely low risk factors compared to vehicles with unproven engines. Come check out what Northrop Grumman is doing that demonstrates innovative ways to get to space!

Participants are: 
•             Kent Rominger: Kent Rominger is the vice president and capture lead for the OmegA launch system, which Northrop Grumman is currently developing for the U.S. Air Force National Security Space Launch program as well as commercial customers. Kent is a 5-time space shuttle astronaut, former chief of the Astronaut Office, and Navy test pilot. 
•             Alan Edlund is a process engineer for the OmegA rocket first and second stage production.
•             Monique Dalton is an electrical engineer at Northrop Grumman.  
•             Joel Hurley is a loads and dynamics engineer working on the OmegA rocket.
