Approaches to Urban Air Mobility research will be presented addressing human-autonomy intersections toward the development of fully-autonomous vehicles of the future. One important concept for system design is public acceptance which depends on passenger trust in the technology. Also, human operators with little training will be relied upon to manage off-nominal events. Human monitoring offers a means for the system to develop “trust in the human operator” for safety and efficiency.
